DelSolHub is a menu bar app that switches the Mac between light and dark twice a day. At each transition it sets the system appearance and swaps the desktop wallpaper on every connected display, each of which has its own light and dark image. It replaces Solace, which did the same job but kept losing the wallpaper after a Space change or a sleep.

The schedule runs in one of two modes. Solar mode takes the Mac’s location, computes sunrise and sunset with the NOAA algorithm, and applies offsets of up to three hours either side. Custom mode uses two fixed times of day and needs no location permission. The menu shows the current mode and the next transition, and Cmd+\ toggles the mode by hand until the next scheduled switch. The shortcut can be re-recorded in Settings, or turned off.

The reliability work is in the wallpaper manager. It listens for Space changes, display connect and disconnect, wake from sleep, and session unlock, re-applies the right image after a short debounce, then reads the wallpaper back to confirm it stuck. Wallpapers are stored as bookmarks, so a file that moves within its folder still resolves. Docking to a Studio Display and undocking again both leave every screen showing the right image.

Settings have three tabs: General for launch at login, location, and the hotkey; Wallpapers with light and dark image wells per display; and Schedule for the solar or custom mode, offsets, and a preview of the next transition. Weather-aware switching, color temperature, and rotating wallpapers are deliberately left out.
